Salesian Leadership Camp

Salesian Leadership Camp is a week-long summer program held at Camp DeSales in Brooklyn, Michigan, sponsored by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. The inspiration for this program came from an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales and a Visitation Sister in the late 1980s. SLC blends Salesian virtues with “hands- on” practical leadership skills. Salesian leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in self-confidence, global awareness, prayer, respect, communication, and service to God.

SLC is attended by student leaders from at least a dozen Salesian and Visitation affiliated schools around the country. The staff includes Sisters of the Visitation and their lay partners, Oblates of St. Francis DeSales, and other seasoned experts in leadership, Salesian Spirituality, and the art of learning in a fun and joyous atmosphere. The students enjoy a blast of fresh ideas to help make them strong leaders at school, in their parishes, and with their friends.
